I did a quick viewsource and the actual site looks custom built. However, the only reference I could find to a script was one called smartsearch.cgi. There are no refs to sql at first glance so this makes me think the whole site has been built around smartsearch.cgi.
There is also a script called accounts.cgi most likely for the memberships.

It also depends on what your wanting to do. If you are just looking to set up a directory site like dmoz or yahoo there are far better ways to do it as findey.com is limited to wherever it is programmed to search.
there are also various other scripts relating to different things such as apollo.cgi for the movies section and hamweather.cgi for the weather section.
The whole site is just a bunch of .cgi scripts built into a nice looking table structure
