Best Script for Blog?

I'm looking for a script to built a large blog. Could anyone please let me know what is best script out there?

if you are just looking for a script for one blog Wordpress is definetly the best thing out there. simple to use, free, but very powerful with lots of add-ons and features

for a multi-site blog, i like Drupal (once again free and open source), but that can be very overwhelming and hard to get into. Joomla is also a good choice.

I use WordPress for a few sites and am happy with it. I've had some issues with the latest upgrade, and I find their support lacking (so I get my support here ), but the product is great.

lol, we just had this discussion 2 days ago. I would definately agree that WordPress is the way to go. WordPress is very easy to install and use. I love it!

WordPress, Movable Type and Drupal all are good enough for a large blog.

Wordpress is indeed very nice and easy to install.It's great and it has many plugins. and ready-made themes for you to use & customize.

WordPress is the best way to go when it comes to blogging software. It has a strong community in the form of plugins and support behind it and the software itself is solid. I wouldn't recommend anything else.

WordPress would be my recommendation. There are other similar softwares such as Nucleus, but nothing matches up to WP in terms of usage and customizability.

Wordpress doesn't allow ads correct? Like AdSense?

I don't know if WP will allow adsense if you're using one of their WP accounts,
though I'd imagine they've no problem with it. But if you're hosing a WP blog,
then definitely you can input adsense.

Use WP-MU, that's Multiuser version of wordpress. Although it does not have a final version yet, the current builds are pretty solid. Wordpress.com, Blogsome.com and a few other sites are using the same MU script. So I would say use that for a multi-user setup.

WordPress for me too. Easy to install, edit and its largely supported i.e. you can find loads of themes and addons out there.

Wordpress if you are looking for a free solution and Movable Type for a commercial one.

I swear by wordpress. Huge userbase, which means finding support is easy. Lotsa programmers working on the codebase, nice simple PHP (no complicated OO stuff like b2evo which is hard ot follow and debug) scripting.
