I also heared on a previous post hear that .co.in were more popular and more in use ? I hope so cos I reg'd a couple.

it is a fact that as *of now* .co.in is the more accepted tld within India. This might change in the future.
for me, I prefer .in, but for traffic, co.in is what is being used.

Its true guys, i m in india... whatever i read ... mags,news,ads,etc. the websites mentioned are either .coms or .co.in's.
In india i suppose its like co.ins are more brandable , .ins are for smaller companies, entertainment, etc ( this is wat i have experienced whilst surfing on indian sites ).
Personally i havent regged a single .in/.co.in domain!

I think .in is much better, easy to type and remember. But as Rush mentioned many of the registered names in India are either .coms or .co.in.

.co.in has come before than all the .in extensions. Anyway, if you compare the growth rate, then .in will be on the top.
