While i don't have a problem with the banner, might be because i'm working on a 17" laptop(?), i do have a problem with Adsense on top of Amazon. I mean, c'mon. Isn't that advertising overkill? Especially when you consider that there's another double Ad attack on the side rail.
:imho: in the center section, i'd keep the text ads down to a minimum, but work more with Adsense banner ads (ever tried them?), they can be integrated into the looks of the site; regular adsense text ads should remain on the side rails. However, that's just my opinion in terms of aesthetics and overall user preferences. Check with Analytics and the Site overlay, you'll get a pretty good idea what your users are doing then.
Once "deeper" inside the site, your main real estate is taken up by an oversized adsense box, sitting beautifully in center stage. Unless you're making enough revenue that validates this type of placement, i'd reconsider and use this space for branding.
Also, the infamous FavIcon is missing and so is a custom logo, which overall leads me to believe that making this site was a quick job. Slapping a standard banner on, including Amazon and Adsense and the lyrics script setup shouldn't have taken someone that's building proxies like no other, not more than 5-10 minutes tops.
