What Directory Script?

Looking to do a directory site. What directory scripts are the best that are out there free or paid. I have seen http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/ which looks pretty decent, any comments on that one or any other suggestions on others I may be overlooking? Thanks in advance for any comments.

phplinkdirectory is the best of the best. I have been using it for over a year now. The free version is good, but the paid version is even better.

looks like you would know by your signature :hehe: unless those are all paid spots, I believe I had a few sites using it a year or so ago and agree no problems with it, just wanted to check and make sure I wasn't missing something new, Thanks

Yeah, phplinkdirectory is the most used link directory script out there, it's awesome. No problems so far. Unlike most scripts, they still give support for their old free version. Awesome team and script!

And their paid version is only $25.

On my link directory site, link borg (in my sig). I use eSyndicat. It's alot more simple then phpLD and I have no complaints. It is free (they also have a paid version).

phpLinkDirectory is the best out there I would say, I have a paid v3.0 and it is a $25 well spent as it has paid for itself with regular and featured links a few times over.

As everyone already said, you can't go wrong with phplinkdirectory. Look at my sig and you will see a web directory which is using phplinkdirectory.

The admin of phplinkdirectory is selling them at 10$ life time membership, But i want them free :p

I agree with esyndicat, I have never done a directory before.
This one was recommended to me (freebie) I found it very easy to use,
I had a couple of questions during setup (I have never done this before)
and I logged into the forum for support and my questions were answered promptly. Functions seem to all work well!
I did try phpld (maybe I had a buggy copy) but I had difficulty with that
one so I just uninstalled it all.
