What checkout software would I need? Please help!

New to this board and want to thank you all for the help in advance. I am building a site for this client and I am stuck on one of their requests. They are selling phone cards. The customer will log on put their credit card information in and then select how many mintues they want. It will charge their credit card and then update the mintues ont their calling card. How would I be able to do this or what software will I need? Once again thanks for the help.

You will need some kind of shopping cart and then a Payment Processor.
A good shopping cart might be ZenCart (try it, it's free)

I don't know how you would update their minutes on the card or if it could be done manually, you'll have to figure out what API they use and how you could access it through a web-based application.

oscommerce ready to go programm for shopping. also try cube cart. and you will need some gateway to process payment. i am looking for it too. so far icame up with this one, i think it is cheapest way to go www.agorapay.com

Sounds like a custom job for that, probably in php/mysql....or perhaps asp.

i think, if he will take some ready to go programm and in admin section where he has to type how many items he has in stock, if he will just type how many minutes he has for this particular calling card at all and will set up payment calculation per one minute, when customer will purchase how many minutes he wants, it will calculate his payments .
for example: let say i have 100 yellow plates to sell. price set up is per plate, so if somebody wants 5 yellow plates, software is calculating price of 1 times 5. And for programm does not matter it is selling plates or calling cards minutes. If I have calling card item name Traveller to call USA from USA and i have 2000 minutes total and cost per minute is 2 cent, When the customer is purchasing minutes, for example, 60 min, it will charge him 60 times 2 plus gateway cost and all miscellaneouse, which admin setup. And admin will see that now he has left only 1940 min in his stock. and this is exactly kind of function oscommerce software has. nothing custom The only thing by somehow this purchase need to be connected to his calling card which he is recharging. I think Speedypin has recharchable calling cards software. you can look where to see how it is made.
