Hello everyone. I have been looking at some different web hosting companies and I noticed in the plan for one of them they offer:
Host 1 Domain Name + 15 Pointers

I am curious what they mean by 15 pointers? Thanks

I'd agree with PolurNet.... sounds like parked domains to me. Another common term would be aliases.

I think pointers mean parked domains. Just different companies name it in different ways.

Thanks, weblord and benedikt, now
parked domains=pointers, subdomain-domain of the third level secondmydomain.com and folder- mydomain.com/third. Does it sound O'K?

sounds like you're near, but
third.mydomain.com
can also be equal to mydomain.com/third
if you have the habit of adding subdomains on cpanel instead of adding it via ftp

I've added domains only via ftp. Is it difficult to add them via cpanel? I just wonder because I've never done it before?

It mean DNS,
For example
webmail.yoursite.com--->point to your site's mailer
mail.yoursite.com--->point to your site's mailer
www.yoursite.com-->point to yoursite.com
......

You need create a sub domain (use cpanel).
ex: forum.yoursite.com, cpanel will create sub folder with name is "forum". After that, you can upload via ftp
