Nice numbers on the term wedge :

1,990,000 Google
7,569 Overture searches
25 Overture bidders!
taken in com/net/org/biz
taken in dk/de/it/nl/ru/se/ch/co.uk/us

Appraisals, end-user leads, and possible development ideas are most welcome. :)

Thanks you!

Thanks, Goldy.

I have an end-user inquiry on this name, and was wondering what would be fair at the end-user level. Anyone care to take a crack at it?

I'd say ~$20 wholesale, mid $xx retail. I think wedges.info or even golfwedges.info would bring a lot more money.

My gut tells me that wedges.info would indeed be better. But if you look at overture numbers, its a different story:

wedge - 7,569 overture searches
wedges - zero overture count
golf wedge - 1,035 overture searches

Also, while wedge.* is taken in all popular extensions, there are still a lot of wedges.* and golfwedges.* currently available.

I wonder why? Probably just because wedge by itself is easier to type.

It might also be because there are multiple defintions for the word wedge, some of which have nothing to do with golf:

From http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=wedge :
wedge ( P ) Pronunciation Key (wj)
n.
1 A piece of material, such as metal or wood, thick at one edge and tapered to a thin edge at the other for insertion in a narrow crevice, used for splitting, tightening, securing, or levering.

2 Something shaped like a wedge: a wedge of pie.
Downstate New York. See submarine. See Regional Note at submarine.
A wedge-shaped formation, as in ground warfare.

3 Something that intrudes and causes division or disruption: His nomination drove a wedge into party unity.
Something that forces an opening or a beginning: a wedge in the war on poverty.

4 Meteorology. See ridge.

5 Sports. An iron golf club with a very slanted face, used to lift the ball, as from sand.

6 One of the triangular characters of cuneiform writing.

Among all those definitions, golf is the most commercially-exploitable. Also, 15 of 25 Overture advertisers for the keyword wedge are selling golf wedges.

As a domainer looking for an end-user for this domain, I think I'll have the best chance of finding a willing buyer among golf stores.

I have to agree. I don't see many cuneiform writers coming forward with any serious interest! :hehe:
