I want to move my current website www.heyenrealtygroup.com to my website www.alexheyen.com. I want to do this without hurting myself too much in the Search engine rankings. My reason for this is I am basically going solo and will no longer be a team. Any thoughts if this is a bad idea. I don't exactly have to do it. Its just that the domain would make more sense.

Also a price on how much someone would charge to do this for me.

Thanks,

Alex Heyen

also any thoughts about migrating my blog over to the same domain or is it better to keep that seperate?

Thanks,

Alex Heyen

Why move it? Just add a link from one site to the other... A to B to A, the more sites you link to each other, the better!

Friendly advice, neither one of those two domains are good! Get away from the family name, and focus on purchasing a rich / premium combination of keywords in .com, .net, .org - .com is the best choice / DirectHomeSale.com will have higher refferal rate then your current two names... why!?! Simple, DirectHomeSale.com is easier to remember and easier to write on a paper! I'm not here trying to sell you one of my domains, if you are interested PM me. The point is, I'm not a real estate agent or broker, but I know what to pick for the human brain! - The brain is lazy in most cases, for this reason; if you feed it easy words, it will have a easier time remembering it!!! Your domain will not work for the average Joe or Jane! Get the point across right once, with one time investment!

Real Estate Industry Agents and Brokers are not smart when it comes to world wide web. The last 3 years, I have done research on what they register and buy. 80-95% of them only register Family Names + Real Estate words .com / Majority of them, don't even consider looking into the .com sector and see whats available in the aftermarket. They are cheap when it comes to a securing Virtual Real Estate!

you are right we are cheap buy most of our business models are founded on promoting ourselves. I belong to the RealEstate.com network. can't get a much better domain than that.

also anythoughts wether a seperate domain for a blog is better. or is it better to just stick with one domain.

I disagree, Multiple Domains 12 or more will get more internet traffic. Build a mini empire, condo, rental, finance, mortgage... Lock yourself a series of domains based on keywords and optimize them around one domain - develop based on keywords, then you can direct that source to your main Domain. Don't loose precious years focusing on one domain! Expand your hands into the world wide web.

RealEstate_
Mortgage_
Finance_
Loan_
Bankruptcy_
Condo_
Condos_
House_
Homes_

the list goes on.

You sell one House, the minimum commission is $10K+

Buying / Investing 10-50K in one Premium Real Estate Domain, will generate more referrals for you then 100 000 family name real estate domains combined!!! You sell one house, the investment is paid! I know this, cause I have seen few checks from commissions!

The Point is, Real Estate Industry is 20 years behind in knowledge, when it comes to Virtual Real Estate. They think they can just benefit from a simple .com / what good is a business card, if it can't deliver!

I own few domains worth 50-100K, recent offer from a Top notch Real Estate Agency was $500 Dollars!

Virtual Real Estate will Dominate the World!

Real Estate on Earth can't keep up to speed with Virtual Real Estate!
