.Web is still in contention with multiple applicants. It could potentially be 2-3 years until the extension is live.

Geeze...What do you think the hold up is? I was under the impression that all the new GTLD's would be live by the end of 2015. Also, some registrars are already taking pre orders for .web as I placed a couple. Thanks for your response.
