I'm proud to announce a new partnership between the NamePros.com and WebDesignTalk.Net communities. This exciting development brings together two of the best communities in the web development industry! Content between these two sites will be syndicated with each other and memberships are now valid at either site.

NamePros.com members, you'll still find all the great domain related discussion at NamePros you're acustomed to. As many of you are web designers and developers, I hope you enjoy the new content and tutorials available from our partnership with WDT.

Web Design Talk members, you can continue in web design topics at WDT. You can now earn NameBucks through your participation at either site. I welcome you to get to know your fellow members from NamePros and join in on our marketplace.

Related forums in areas such as development and webhosting have been joined and are accessible from both sites.

Integration of the two communities is still in progress. Stay tuned for follow up annoucements regarding these developments.

I organiziation is better but there are SOOO many design forums. I understand we just merged with a design forum so ofcourse there would be many and it would be unfair to delete them just like it would be unfair to delete our domain forums but this IS Name Pros... I mean is it really necessary to have a CODE forum right under Programming? Or a Web Design forum when there are so many specific forums already under the category. General Development?? We never had that before and we did fine without it. Most of the time developement falls in the 3 categories, design, business/content, marketing. And the Related Services & Products board? Is that really necessary? There are just some sub forums we could sacrifice.

I like this new change. I think it will help people find a good place to discuss everything on the web including Domain Names and Web Design. This just happened so I know it will need some time. I'm sure we can get the category issues sorted. Fear not :D

Are the PM systems integrated? Me and one guy on WDT had a little communication problem doing a deal. We PMed each other and neither one got it. He said my PM box was full but its not full here.

Yes, the PM systems should be fully integrated now. Only thing left is making sure email notifications are going out from the proper site.

Here's a fun variable I just added to the system. You can use the : sitename : variable (remove the spaces) to display the name of the site in your posts.

I've been having to send my PMs through NamePros lately because it always says that the recipient's inbox is full on WDT. I suppose this will get fixed up evetually.
