Hi there,

We're considering a few different domains for our company, and one of them is Waveform.com. Estibot estimates it at $19,000, while Godaddy's tool estimates $13,426.

The owner is asking for considerably more. Any suggestions on what a reasonable number for that domain would be?

I think this name is worth at least 5 figures, so I can't blame the owner for asking for mid $xx,xxx or so (educated guess).

Now that you've made your intentions known publicly, the price has likely doubled.

If you personally approached the owners, you also would have unintentionally revealed a lot of relevant information when it comes to negotiating the price of a domain name.

Most serious buyers will use an acquisition service (pros in the industry) to negotiate and a do everything associated with acquiring a domain.

Thanks. I'll go ahead and close this thread. In any case, I don't think I can afford that domain. I just wanted to get a sense of what an accurate value for it to make sure his number wasn't way off. It sounds like it isn't
