I have a normal.com and want to divert any browsers to the equivalent normal.mobi

Any suggestions for a script to detect mobiles & PDAs ?

.US domains.US domains

Basically just checks through all the normal browsers used on PCs, and then if it's not any of them it'll redirect.

Hope it's useful, you might need to work a little bit on the opera bit, as there's a mobile browser for opera (although I'm unsure on its http headers).

rep appreciated.

Thank you

Thanks a bunch,

I'll try it out now.

Now ... As I'm new here ... How do I give you a rep ?

Or is a rep just a reply ?

Generally a poor method. Think of the Spiders coming to your site only to be redirected to the mobi :o

Try this

Yes, that's a fair point. I can't download that class though, wants me to login or subscribe >:(.

Nope. You just have to use a mirror.

You may also want to check out WURFL and its libraries. Last I heard it was the recommended way to detect mobile browser and device capabilities.

There's a simple example of using it to redirect depending on whether it finds a mobile or non-mobile browser on pc.dev.mobi
