Yeah i agree totally with what rsequin has said here. If you are serious about making a social networking site that people are going to use. Up your price even if you feel the domain isnt worth that much the free exposure of people talking about the domain sale etc might make up for the higher buying price.

No He's right. I'm trying to get the funding for a social networking site that I'm getting built. I finally found a place that will design the site for $20k but they say you spend at least 4 times the amount you spent on the product on advertising. Thus there is a minimum of $100k that's involved.

Unless, you happen to know an incredibly talented group of people that could design, program, code, script, etc the site for you. If you do then I would say you are off to a great start and I'm jealous!
