Hey,

I stumbled across this Vista Transformation Pack sometime aho.
I installed it, yeh, it looked like Vista! Great program, however, the Vista style just isn’t my taste.

This program will transform your Windows user interface to ultimate Windows Vista look that everyone will never notice it’s the same old Windows XP (or 2003)

All this pack does is replace some files, and edit the style...bootup screens, logon screens etc...

It changes changes the interface. :)

Yeah course, its just a skin :) not actually vista.

Be careful when reverting guys, a few default graphics are lost :hehe:

Yes...they should do.

Like i said, it's only the interface that has changed.

Yep, however, you can always revert the icons back to Windows XP icons, via the Control Panel in Windows. :)

If i remember correctly, anyway, i reverted mine. :)
There are programs out there too...:)

Hi,

Those packs can be unstable, and can really harm your OS. One of them damaged a very important vga file (cant remember the name) and at the startup OS loading window i got fatal error.

Then i discovered the patch for uxtheme.dll wich allows you to use modified .msstyles themes, i downloaded a couple of vista .msstyles files and it completely changed the way my OS looks. The best of all, it takes no additional resources.

First you patch your uxtheme.dll file, then download some msstyles and put them in the windows->resources->Themes folder. Then you can switch between themes at the Monitor --> appearance screen (the same exact screen were you set the luna default blue/silver themes).

After that you can download/install the vista wallpapers, icons and sounds without patching anything, just put them in the usual directories.
