Interesting domain. However .com would have been better (as usual ).
Many official tourist sites are in the form visit[country].com so .com is the logical TLD given the global nature of such sites. Although the TLD is popular in Canada it might suggest your audience is primarily Canadian.
I think it's a good domain anyway and worth developing. You might lose traffic to the other extensions but developing is usually the way to rank better than competing sites
