Land Surveying is a constant and is never going to go away. The technology will eventually move on from the traditional Tripod with the 'Measuring Apparatus' mounted on top to a hive-mind of several micro-drones calculating, filming and measuring elevations, plotting coordinates and so on.

The name has some value pertaining to current technology. I'd hand-reg some drone based plotter names as well.
