Video Thumbnail

I've been searching online on how to create a video thumbnail or video list similar to YouTube top page but I don't seem to find any info on how to create one in my site. I've seen some videocentric site and they also have a thumbnail like to select videos to watch.

Do you guys have any idea on how to create it?
