Morgan Linton reporting that Vegas.com has just sold to Remark Media, Inc for a purchase agreement which included:
  • $15.5 million of cash
  • $9.5 million of shares
  • $10 million of five-year warrants
  • Up to a total of $3 million in earnout payments based on the performance of Vegas.com in the years ending December 31, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

I'm pretty sure a big portion of this sale was because of the business behind Vegas.com, not just the domain. This is a great sale, but I don't see it having any impact on the other similar extensions such as .vegas, .poker, and .casino..
