Using Quicktime

How would I go about making a movie with a video camera then convert is to quicktime, then stick it on the internet? What softwear is needed, what type of video camera, how is it added on a webpage, as in coding, etc. Please help me out someone.

Couple of things here....Firstly, the camera is not a big issue...Typically you are going to want a digital recorder that is firewire enabled and have a computer that has the firewire slot...Most computers made in the last 3-4 years have one and the port # is IEEE 1394...If you have these take your video and download a trial version of a good software that edits video...I use adobe premiere, I don't know for sure if the trial allows you to save and output the video but I believe it does...If not there are others out there that are cheaper and more for novice...After you get to that point you will simply
upload your video to premiere or your software, edit , cut and whatever you want to do and then output it to a specific file type...I can give you further instructions if you get to this point and get confused...After that its all a matter of linking it to your site...

It goes for 80 bucks but you get a lot for that. You can download a free trial as well. I use the pro version and i love it. You can edit, add effects, titles, and export to dvd, quicktime and more.

Thanks guys, I believe I can get Premier because my brother has it, and once had it on our computer, but we can probally try for it again. He also has about a 2500 dollar video camera which Im sure has the output device needed. Ill have to talk to him.
