Using "N" instead of "And"

What are your thoughts of using "N" instea of "And?"

For example.

DogsAndCats.com vs DogsNCats.com

Yes and No ......

There are some instances where "N' works and then not.
I think the "N" falls into play when the word is more
"trendy" or hip. PBNJ is commonly used Peanut Butter
and Jelly. PBandJ not so much use. RockNroll is cool
where as "Rock and Roll" is just OK.

From first hand knowledge I'll give you an exampe from
a couple of names I hold. One gets traffic and earns
parking rev. The other .....nothing.

RandB tube / com

Thats right .... the "RNB" is far more popular than "RandB"
In the case of your examples I think "Dogs and Cats" works
better than "DogsNCats".

IMO "N" goes well rather then "And", though i have sold a name with "and", but still i believe "N" is better as it give more brandability to the name.

Good point, ddesigns, on the branding. A non dictionary or slang can
be branded and TM etc ...

* A note to the OP. You noticed, in my example, that I hold both versions of
RNBtube and RandBtube so one can be pointed to the other and not grabbed by
predator developers. And for the brain zombies that can't remember
what street they live on.

I think it depends. If you are talking about hotels and motels let's say I would reg hotelsandmotels.com because its is professional.

But if the topic is more fun then I would put the n instead.
