.us .US or .ORG?

Which one do you think is the better TLD?

I've seen .US sales climb up in the recent years. Me thinks .us is/will be better than .org


Thoughts?

Depends for which purpose and which domain.
If this is a for US-based profit venture => .us
If this is for non-profit use (US-focused or globally) => .org
Just my feeling

Org still has the - stigma is the wrong word but I can't think of a better one - of the non-profit organization.

.us on the other hand only has the association with the USA. If I were planning on developing a for-profit site I would stay away from .org domains.

However, if you're developing an informational site in the right niche (health, personal development, etc) that is monetized by PPC, there's a certain amount of "trust" that is associated with a .ORG domain.

If you present them with a shopping cart or a site that looks like it should be a .COM that trust is lost, but a good informational site can do well on .org.
