I have a few domains that are premium i.e most would attract around the 10K mark.

I have spoken with Moniker.com to consider placing these domains at upcoming Live Auctions (not the silent auctions). They were all approved and i have the forms and contract to sign.

Moniker charge 15% commission, while online auctions like sedo charge only 10%. I'm fine with the higher rate though as these are live auctions and would attract more interest IMO.

My only concern is signing the 'exclusive' agreement which runs for 120 days and auto-renews.

I am happy to sign this if Moniker Auction produce results as once i do its in their hands to sell i cant place it any where else like SEDO.com.

Should i go Moniker on an exclusive agreement or just list them at various online auctions like sedo, afternic etc ???????

Cheers,

I have not had domains in Moniker auctions, but I have noted that a large portion do not sell. There are a number of threads on this - search "auction" in the box on the upper right of the page - might be best to minus out mobi because of all the mobi auction threads(!)

TRAFFIC would be another good search term.

Cheers,

While there are a lot of complaints (including those from me) about some of the auction features, format, fees, and rules, the TRAFFIC auction is still a good auction for quality domains. The auto-renew feature is terrible, but with a little luck and persistence, you can opt-out after the 120 days.

I wouldn't discount using the Moniker silent auctions. The domains that do not sell at live auction are automatically transferred into silent auction. One of mine that did not sell during the live auction was transferred to silent, and then sold. I didn't know they allowed the option to say "no silent auctions".

I haven't ever used moniker and use sedo only for selling domains.
