Hello all!

Can someone tell me how to upload/apply/install/whatever a page I designed in FrontPage (2002) to a website's server??

I went through the help section and can't find how to do it. In FP 2003 under FILE there's supposed to be an option OPEN SITE where you upload the file. Sadly, I have 2002 and that option isn't there.

Thanks in advance!

Don't bother.

Search google for an FTP application (try cute_ftp), download and away you go. Works just like windows explorer so you can drag and drop files straight onto the server.

Or even better use Windows commander.

Okay, I did it... how, I'm not quite sure! Lord knows if you press enough buttons something's bound to happen!

I do see a couple lil boo boos on it but I'm very content with it... for now! ;) Oh, the links don't work on purpose! :]

Thanks to all for your help!

Chester,

Never thought to use Windows (Total) Commander for ftping, usually only use if for zipping . My preferred ftp app is WS_FTP and on occasion even the Dreamweaver inteface.

Anyway, I'll have a play with TC - I might be surprised!

Lyte,

Move away form Frontpage if you can - if you got all the HTML editors lined up and scored them 1 to 10, frontpage would get about -100.

Yes, I keep hearing it stinks but I have no other experience with which to compare it! The only other site I've "built" is the cashmere one through Citymax which is SO plug 'n' play that anyone... even me... can master it!

So, which program rates #1 in the "Even a monkey can use it catagory?!"

Frontpage is fine...

Use publish site (under the file option) or use your control panels FTP file upload itself. If you want to use an ftp software program, go for leech...

Either that or ditch the bally lot and buy yourself :cough: acquire yourself dreamweaver....
