Hey, this is another warning for everyone about the new worms. Mircosoft has found that the new worm spreading across the internet already has another new variant that is going to launch an attack on August 16th at the Microsoft download center so its suggested that you get your patches while you can. Other then installing all Critical Patches and more, you should also consider a Good Anti-virus program such as Mcafee and Norton, along with both a Software and Hardware firewall. Good Luck everyone hopefully these wont turn out too bad.

anyone know what port it uses? and my friend gets in when he logs onto AIM, that really how it spreads, or how it "acts up".

Say it runs through port 909, and my router doesnt forward that port, will it get through?

I got the virus, the i removed it and installed this patch, now its working perfect again

all info on their about the new worm w32.blaster. I have had this up since tuesday. Worm been out since monday

Hey, are there any new serious variants of the worm out? I think slashdot said that a more powerful one came out a day or so after the first one and it was by the same author?

umm.... yes and no, the new one just has remote commands added on, but thats included in my tutorial
