domain Update on my 2008 Appraisal Thread

Hi All,

As an investor in Dot-TV domains (and a long-term holder of these names) I thought it would be interesting to see how people's views of the domains contained in my 2-year-old appraisal thread located here:

may have changed.

I still own *most* of these names, but did let some expire based on your suggestions/evaluations. I continue to be willing to hold these names for about the next ten years to hopefully reap some rewards at that time. Anyway, here is my current .tv portfolio as it stands today - just about two years after the appraisal thread referenced above.

firearms.tv
texting.tv
geometry.tv
pulpit.tv
pumping.tv

Spanish:
bancos.tv (banks)
personales.tv (personals)
zapatos.tv (shoes)

e-tvs:
eproperties.tv

Anyway, I just thought it would be interesting to see how people's opinions on the names in my portfolio may have changed over the past two years.

So I would love to hear any new opinions (good or bad) on these names!

Anyway, I am feeling pretty positive in light of some of the new.tv developments (e.g. Oprah;s OWN.tv and metal.tv selling for 5 figures and the recent sale of shoes.tv)

I believed from the beginning that .tv will become the premiere extension for all video/streaming type content and I think I have a few that are pretty decent.

anyway I am into almost 3 years of investing in .tv and said from the beginning I plan to hold for about 10 years (7 more to go) unless I get some insane offers.

Anyway, good luck all and cheers on some of the recent sales in this extension!

Don't worry Gericsb, I'm not in the position to valuate your domains...but wish to say I'm impressed with your ultimate belief on this Tld. And I do like your Bancos.Tv, by the way Banco.Tv is on auction...which means you have a winner in hand. Wish you good luck.

OWN.tv is still redirecting to Oprah.com.

I'm more concerned everyday that as streaming media evolves domains wont even be part of the picture.

I think the fact BANCO is presently at SEDO for $1000 make some case for BANCOS to be a 'keeper'

Invite is nice - that could be used for personal 'televisual' invites.

Texting and Pumping I really don't see much scope. - even though I said last time texting was OK (time moves on)

Yes - having Banco on auction seems to bode well for my Bancos.tv. I also like Personales.tv (as a potential Spanish Personals site).

My favorite of the bunch is: Invite.tv and I think this name has the most potential for a 'killer' sale several years down the road. Anyway, I continue to hold and have been pretty pleased with some of the recent .tv sales!
