Hey NamePros. Brady here, growth lead at Unstoppable Domains - a newly ICANN-accredited registrar and marketplace.

We're on a mission to modernize domaining by bringing domains onchain. We give you everything you want in a marketplace:
  • 3% commissions
  • At-cost registrations & renewals
  • Direct negotiation, no brokers
  • SedoMLS & Afternic integration
Plus, onchain superpowers you didn't know you needed:
  • Access to new onchain buyers
  • No transfer fees or lockups
  • Settlement times in seconds, not weeks
  • Eventually - lending and other decentralized finance tools
Come check us out. You'll never go back after experiencing faster, cheaper, and easier domaining onchain.

We'll use this thread to share announcements and get feedback from domainers like you. Drop me a line at [email protected] if you want to chat.

Cheers!

Brady

yes we are, but it may take some time. You can still do it from your sedo dashboard, correct?
No, unfortunately you can't disable Sedo MLS from within Sedo, only activate it.

Because Sedo doesn't have 2FA, their fast transfer option is a major security risk, and that's why I'd like to disable it.

It's not ideal but currently to remove SEDO MLS the SEDO UI requires users to delete the listing and resubmit without MLS.
I will discuss with the team.

For immediate disabling the MLS, as a workaround, you can change the listings to Make offer and then back to Buy Now. That should change the status to 'ready for MLS activation' status.

Great, that works. Thank you!

@Unstoppable Domains On the domain list, can you allow the Purchased column to be sorted like the expiry dates. Often it's useful to be able to see your latest regs, etc. Thanks.

we'll get to this soon

Thanks, I see this has now been fixed with the column being renamed to "Date Added" and it can now be sorted like the other columns.

Another "bug" I sold a domain through Afternic with Fast Transfer enabled, the transfer failed, the domain was never even unlocked. I tried to unlock and send the code manually as requested by Afternic and what do you know, the same error when I tried to detokenize & unlock an expired domain:

Unable to detokenize domain

Can FT even work with this detokenize to unlock crap?

Correct, verisign has different pricing for different registrars

Rest assured we would offer you the lower price if it were available to us

So VeriSign must have violated the .com Registry Agreement.
itp.cdn.icann.org/en/files/registry-agreements/com/com-fees-01-09-2024-en.pdf
.com Domain-Name Initial Registration (per annual increment)$10.26
.com Domain-Name Renewal (per annual increment)$10.26
.com Domain-Name Transfer (per domain name that is transferred to Registrar from another Registrar)$10.26
Registration / Renewal / Transfer fee is $10.26 + ICANN fee $0.18 as of Apr. 2025 = $10.44.

itp.cdn.icann.org/en/files/registry-agreements/com/com-agreement-html-01-12-2024-en.htm
the Maximum Price for Registry Services shall be US $10.26;

Moreover, the Registry Agreement prohibits registrar discrimination.
itp.cdn.icann.org/en/files/registry-agreements/com/com-agreement-html-01-12-2024-en.htm
(e) No price discrimination. Registry Operator shall charge the same price for Registry Services subject to this Section 7.3, not to exceed the Maximum Price, to all ICANN-accredited registrars (provided that volume discounts and marketing support and incentive programs may be made if the same opportunities to qualify for those discounts and marketing support and incentive programs is available to all ICANN-accredited registrars).

sorry for the trouble - we've fixed the fast trasnfer bug here, and we will be working on the transfer out/detokenize slowness soon. rest assured detokenization will not affect FT

if you want to get into the nitty gritty:

verisign offers registrars rebates on new registrations that relate to their sales volume. rebates are tiered and thus affect each registrar differently while still "not discriminating"

we have additional costs since we use Gransy as our EPP provider, which is why our costs are more than what you shared

I have a few suggestions Iโ€™d like to raise:
  1. Could we consider adding Microsoft Clarity? Atom already supports it, and it would be really valuable to observe buyer behavior; such as how users interact on the site and what theyโ€™re doing in real time.
  2. For seller contact / messaging, is there a reason buyers are required to create an account before they can view contact details or message a seller? It might be worth reconsidering this flow to reduce friction for potential buyers.

1 is clarity frequently used by domainers?

2 we are working on this

1. Since itโ€™s already supported in Atom, my answer would be yes. Clarity adds a whole new dimension to analytics by allowing us to see, in real time, how buyers interact when they land on the domain lander page.

2. thanks! Look forward to it.
