Hey everyone.

Im into my final year at uni now, and I have a few ideas for a project I have to do throughout the year.

However, I was wondering if anyone could think of anything else that would be good.

My project can be done in anything from c++, java, js, php, actionscript, etc. Pretty much anything like that (I'll learn it if i need to)

Anyone know something that would be good? I prefer web-based things.

Something you've always thought you would like to help you in everyday life?

I was thinking a web-ap/software you can slice images/draw divs and export as css (think of psd->css but automated).

I'm not sure if someone can automate the process of converting PSD templates to CSS/XHTML!

I will be the first one to buy the software from you

My university project was to re-write Windows Paint using C++.

You can think of a directory or classifieds website.

or a script where you just insert keywords/options and it builds the website for you,

EG:

keywords: name name name name
images: hotels
article: hotels
news: hotels
Delas: hotels / travel
ads: google
logo: upload
colour: blue/green
links: url url url
,
hit build, website bulit , simple

then hit upload and it uploads the website onto your server for you also,

advanced parking page ?

something automatic, and easy to use would be nice

You mean like Photoshop's slicing/export as HTML tool? (True, the code it generate sucks, so maybe you could do something like that that uses the output from the sliced/coded files and remakes it in an optimized css file (with options ot make it into a liquid layout, etc)

I was thinking of something to do with regards to exporting into better css.

Any ideas regarding applications, instead of web stuff? =] Someone suggested looking to teaching software and finding way to improve it..

I have a few ideas including:

Web-Based Project Management System.
Web-Based Image Editing Software.
A program to extract given database (MySQL), then allow user to drag and drop the extracted information onto a document, which could be saved as a pdf.

But want something a bit more related to solving real-life issues, or developing an existing system to improve it.
