Long name! Pretty cool though, Might want to keep it for that reason.

Sadly lacking on yahoo's overture

usdemocrats.com (crappy search site) a "big dog" buyer would probally go after them first.

Same with the godaddy parked usademocrats.com

Bottom line, the little buyer would probable go for the .net or org (even .us). The Big buyer would aquire a nicer (because its shorter) name from a reseller.

.org has some muscle when it comes to politics

If I had this I would keep I would listen to $500 offers and prob sell if contered offer higher. I would list it as "make offer only" and hope for xxxx , rather than ask a specific low price.

Yes it´s a long name but hopefully end users might ignore the length somewhat. Only people with marketing in mind know the importance of com (and length..), or the "trustworthy" impression org for that matter, though multiword org-s would hardly cost more than reg fees unless the other extensions were taken. Yet com will always be most valuable.

Probably 90% of end users don´t know anything about overtures, it´s the name they already have or will choose to have.

Often, Us* -domains are taken but I think UnitedStates* sounds a little more majestic, though I´m in Europe.

The big buyer probably won´t find a com synonym so he would have to consider a net or org if not taken.

The simple insight is that it can be "taken care" of automatically when advertising domains. Some people would first look for the other extensions and take them, thus lifting the value of the com version for sale.
