The Uni Market will stop working on April 18th and an email detailing the transition process to Afternic was sent out. Here are the details.

Uni (both the marketplace and the registrar) has the only interface that makes sense to a domain investor. It is fast, fully transparent with important details shown, eg. one can clearly see the inquiries, who the potential buyer is along with their email, tel.number and what the broker's actions are.

Of course it had to go

I can still access my account but it makes no difference, really. The platform is getting shut down as a premium selling point for domains. Hopefully Dan.com won't face the same fate.

Quick guide on how to export ALL your sales leads from the Uni Market, not just the last year. Note: Only works if you had a DNS account that you can still log into.

I'm sad to see it go. So much better than the afternic product...end of an era.

DNS is the original platform used by Frank Schilling, which he opened up to the public in 2012, before rolling out the Uniregistry Market. It's still open for those that had access back in the day and it presents a different environment to the Uni Market portfolio manager.

A quick update: You can now ask for several years' worth of data, but it's not the full data! Here are the details.

oh ok...so if we got names at unireg and the whole.place shuts... do we gotta send names to gd or elsewhere or what?
The transition began a year ago, small accounts of little "domainer" value were already moved to GoDaddy. I believe that by the end of May it will happen again, this time for everyone. While I have lots of domains still at Uni, there will be no benefits from the GoDaddy move - certainly not discount pricing! If you have any domains expiring in the next 60-90 day's it'd be a good idea to transfer them as there is no guarantee the transfer to GD won't impose a 60 day lock.

Fully agree. Used them for 10 years very successfully. Even after the acquisition by GoDaddy, the platform worked like clockwork, with minor issues that would be quickly fixed.

Unfortunately, this is where it ends. Also, May marks the end of Uniregistry, the registrar. While the migration to GoDaddy began a while ago, some of us were allowed to use Uni still.

All the domains were successfully transferred to GoDaddy but GoDaddy didn't send an e-mail saying transfer was success and the new account #. I logged into Uniregistry to find out the info.

Uniregistry and Frank changed the game for the average domainer 10+ years ago. He empowered me and introduced a powerful new weapon for domain sales. I will forever be grateful.

How nice to negotiate with a buyer and if unsuccessful, then pass on the lead to pros.

Godaddy will change all that in a few weeks.

I will change along because I enjoy dealing with buyers and have charted my own course.

Thanks Frank.

I self-brokered dozens of my sales for the past decade on Uni, sorry to hear it didn't work for you. The industry is worse, not better with Afternic swallowing every marketplace that stood up to it. Danny boy, watch out, your turn will come (LOL.)

maybe yes maybe know... but I think we both agree that of.all markets mentioned on np for sales offers etc... even on np sale thread.... unireg ranks basically last. but I'm sure u have great valuable folio... above avg... so maybe uni caters more to.those.... rather than some rarer sales of more recent regs ... which is.what most of us have... after all there are only so many names and folios around where the names can be nice older ones... cause we run out of those fast...be it hotel.com or buy car.com or similar
..I'm sure u get drift.

That was years ago that they moved the domains away for quite a few people. I'm assuming that this is just relating to the market and you don't need to have your domains with them to list them? I'm assuming cause I don't use them for selling but I did have some domains with them until they moved them to GD
