Hello guys,

what do you think of www.umts.ws?

UMTS is a mobile phoning protocol very popular at least here in Europe. (take a look at www.umts-forum.org for further info).

Your appraisals are appreciated as always!

Can it overcome the ".WS" extension?

Let's discuss. :talk:

From what I know ...WS names are not so popular right now. Might want to hang on to them.

I don't know if a .ws could generate some type-in traffic even for a single word (and UMTS.ws isn't an exception), honestly i think not.

But at least ".ws" is a bit catchy and easy to remember, and there is only a small amount of catchy top level extensions (com, net, info, org, biz and maybe .ws - website).
So i thought: "short single word with good market behind; why not try for 7,5 EU?".

About the .ws, i don't know if it will grow.
There are tons of coming new extension, and with a .travel, a .job, a .xxx, a .everythingelse; i think that .com will surely keep it's value (because now it's a point of referement for everything associated with the internet, and the pentasyllabe ta-ta-ta-dot-com sounds familiar to everyone), but .net and .org value will go a bit down.
And taking in consideration that tomorrow there will be personalized extensions, i don't know how much .ws can grow.

What are your opinions about .ws?
