advice .uk Keyword Domain Names.

Not been on in a while, just been focusing on developing a site. Anyway! The reason for this post is .uk domain names.

My question is; if buying keyword .uk domain names, are they safe from .co.uk owners of the same keyword claiming them later on? I've seen a few for sale recently and just curious.

I'm pretty sure current _.co.uk owners have a 5 year window to get the _.uk

Not sure when that starts or ends though ...

Yeah, I was looking online, the end date is mid 2019. Just confused as .uk domains are selling here and there Just wandered how safe it would be to buy one to sell or develop before then.

They are safe... Once they are registered, they can then be traded etc... You had 5 years exclusive right to register it first where others couldn't.

I own a few. Co. Uk and some I have bought the uk version as well but seeing a few. Uk domains s on domainlore recently
