I just got contacted about one of my domains, and he wants me to get it professionally appraised, but I just want to see what you guys think:

hackmac.org

I used it as a really popular security/mac flaws website and community for a while, until my bandwith limits didn't allow me to continue running it, so it got parked.

My other one is:

thefivestarhotel.com

I'm not sure, what do you guys think?

Hey bud, this guy is just trying to get you to get your domain appraised at a site that he most likely owns. You'll pay some crazy price for the appraisal and then he won't buy it because he's already got what he needs from you.

My advice:

HackMac.org isn't really anything special, and is definately not worth appraising. So, don't do it. Just name your price at something outrageous like $5000 and see what he says.

Well...

Well according to this guy:

"Main direction of our business is network protection and intrusin detection systems.

So Internet names is just a part of our investment strategy."

But he could be lying.

And the guy didn't say he wanted a particular appraisal site, he just said that he didn't trust automatic web-based appraisals, and he wanted a manual one.
