okay, so maybe it's not a tv conspiracy. I am, however, convinced that premiumdomains.com's algorithms are a joke. They just sent this to me:

I trust your judgement more than theirs. I'm new to .tv's though. Would anyone care to venture a guess as to the value? If it were a .com it'd be worth oodles.

True .com would be worth some $$$ but you cannot just take .com perceived value and divide by a certain percentage. Meaning some people think it is an exact science like the .com is x so the .net is 20% of x the .tv is 1% of x. It does not work that way. Maybe someone overpaid for the .com or it was the perfect end user. Fish.com sold for $1,000,000 I do not believe it a guarantee Fish.tv is worth 1 % or $10,000.

Glee is not a commercial term there will be no advertiser bids for this keyword. So how will you develop it? Who do you see as the potential end user ? Are there other words that are synonymous that can be substituted at REGULAR FEE ?

Now if you going to build a brand around it I think it sounds cool,memorable, it rhymes GLEE TV so I see value in you building it and branding it but do not see who the other end users would be for the domain.

Glee.com (with extension) is 116. That's closer.

Also, you just regged it. Why would it be worth more that the reg fee. If anyone else wanted it they could have regged it.

Now, it may appreciate in value but not in just a few days.

altho usually, that is not always the case- i have regged names and then had them sell for 10-30X the reg fee within a week, and they were worth just about that- no more, no less-
there are always exceptions to the rules in any domain situation- the fact is, it all boils down to that one moment in time, when someone wants what you have- and thats it.

I think there a lot of .tv's out there that people just haven't thought of registering yet. The value of any TLD is somewhat subjective. If somebody found cars.com (for example - as if!!!) that had somehow slipped through the cracks would it then be only be worth the reg fee because they didn't register it until yesterday?
