Hi! it's a simply tutorial I've made to this forum which you'll can save Macromedia flash files (*.flv and *.swf) in your computer, for example, it's useful when want to play OFFLINE any flash game or want to watch any youtube music video...

1) REQUIREMENTS:
1.1) Windows XP/98
1.2) Opera browser (free)
1.3) FLV player

2)STEPS
2.1) Steps for swf files:
2.1.1) Install and start Opera
2.1.2) Visit any flash games site like miniclip.com
2.1.3) Select a game
2.1.4) When game finishes loading, search for "Opera" folder in your hard drive
2.1.5) Now go folder "cache4": .......\Opera\profile\cache4
2.1.6) You will see a file with this format or similar "opr03ZE6.swf"
2.1.7) Move or copy file and play with any browser, you got it!

2.2) Steps for flv files:
2.2.1) Steps are similar, visit youtube
2.2.2) Watch full video
2.2.3) "Point 2.1.5)"
2.2.4) A new file with *.TMP extension appears, rename it to .*FLV extension
2.2.5) Copy or move file and open it with FLV player "point 1.3)", you got it!

That's all!

Regards.

Let me add some more information to your tutorial:

Saving YouTube.com Videos in general

1. First Select the video you want to download. Copy its link which would be something like this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=k7OkWpfTz1U

2. Now visit www.youtubex.com -(Note the extra x here)...and put the above link in youtubex.com's box.

3. Click Download button and it will open a new page with download link. Paste this download link in any download manager to download.

4. Now if required rename the file to give it .flv extension.

5. Open the file in VLC media player to play it.

If you want to convert into popular media formats like AVI or Mpeg use Free FLV Converter from http://www.rivavx.com/index.php?encoder&L=3
But mind you, quality will still not be upto a normal Mpeg or AVI file types.

It is not browser dependent.
