Hi!
Thanks for a very good forum. I am new and trying to get into the right thinking of valuating domain names - just because I am interested in all marketing/internet related areas :]

I would please like an appraisal on the domain trendytraining.com
Possible use is for companies in the sport business - where they can start a blog/forum/information about upcoming training trends and show their products.
The domain name got a nice pronunciation for use in talking language.
When using it for company blog use it would be good for SEO use in the sport/training area.

Ok - shoot! :tu:

:hi: Welcome to the forum!

I am a fellow newbie domainer and share your interest in general sales and marketing topics. I don’t feel comfortable providing a dollar estimate for the value of TrendyTraining.com but I will share some of my thoughts about it.

I understand how you envision it being used for a sports training venture and it does roll off the tongue nicely. But as someone who enjoys fitness training, I’m not sure trendy is a word I would want to associate with my athletic training or sports activities. To me trendy sounds flighty, unsubstantiated, superficial and not serious; when I’m training I want to do things that are proven, effective and going to deliver serious results., TrainingTrends.com, TrainingMax.com, TrainingCenter.com and TrainingCentral.com all have a better connotation in my mind (not that they are all great names).

Even for training applications outside of sports (like web development training or sales training techniques) trendy does not seem “serious” or “authoritative” enough to me. In my mind the word trendy has a slightly feminine feeling in this particular domain but that might be what someone else is seeking for something geared toward female consumers.

TrendyTraining.com is also pretty general and could apply to any field; if I was looking for a domain to brand a sports training website I would prefer to have the word sports in it so it’s clear to people what they will find there (examples might be SportsBeat.com, SportsTraining.com SportsTrends.com, SportsForum.com or even SportsTrainingForum.com)

These are just some thoughts off the top of my head and others may disagree.

Best of luck you. :blink:

What is trendy training ? Never heard about that.
The two keywords don't really mix well together. The combo doesn't make much sense. Trendy is an adjective that makes most sense with consumer fashions. Besides, training is very broad and vague, are we talking about sports, computers, or something else.
I don't see who would buy this domain, because it does nothing to enhance my business or increase my bottom line. Put yourself in the shoes of an end user.
Good luck !

trend·y (trnd) Informal
adj. trend·i·er, trend·i·est
Of or in accord with the latest fad or fashion: trendy clothes. See Synonyms at fashionable.

train·ing (trnng)
n.
The state of being trained.

I was thinking of sport fashion - one of the biggest upcoming in retail is sport/training fashion the past years. If you see to e-commerce this is one of the most uppcoming in sale lately as well.

I understand the point that it is general words.

Ok, can I get suggestions. If you use words as trend and training were the actual prizes would be set - so I can see where the value change.

Example:
example1.com = 100 USD
example2.com = 1000 USD
example3.com = 10 000 USD

You get me?
