I like the background. I wonder what it would look like if the main template had a bit of transparency, to let the background come through - just slightly. (May be overkill)
The logo, off to the right, is somewhat unique, but the "Guy" is missing. There's the travelocity dwarf (also in your advertisement) that would lend itself perfect to identify with the "Guy". Obviously, you can't pick the gnome, but an adaptation of a comic strip guy, would be much easier to brand than a regular text logo.
Also, once you have your visual brand identity, use it as favicon.
Content wise, you still have some work to do - you are aware of that, though.
Also, don't forget the video implementation, top 10 rankings, etc.
