Nice sale, but they should make that money back in no time with some good seo.

... that's the greatest news for .info freaks. :D

That would be a great domain for tourism. I would have kept that domain if i had it. But then again, having that kind of money always comes in handy as well. Could buy a new car, etc. :)

Excellent find. I should pm mellow with this thread, she will be happy. :)

I have noticed in the past several months my .info offers increasing. I hope this trend continues.

Well,
As the travel industry grows every day, this domain name would have fetched more. Sold for less, in my opinion. :imho:

The keyword "Travel" has a very good OVT and Google stats.

Congratulations to both the seller and the buyer.

Wow, that's brilliant news...

Looks like you can't under-estimate the power of a .info anymore... great to hear!

Honestly, with Travel being one of the top if not THE top keyword in domains besides gambling (remembering that travel covers airfare, hotels, car rentals, etc.), I think this sale is somewhat low. Should have been $150,000 - $200,000 in my opinion. Still nice to HAVE a sale though...hopefully that'll help the extension.

Estibot has traveli.info appraised at $34k. A bit low. I was just curious what they would price the domain at. Travel is huge, and so are its relelvant related domain names.

You are forgetting porn, by far the biggest.

(he meant travel.info, not traveli.info)

Today it seems to say 35k, so it's going up :)

This is surely good news for .info - it's a great tld, and I'm sure the potential is yet to be realized.

I agree that 116K is a bargain for travel.info - this is a great buy. Congrats to the buyer. Should easily fetch 300k soon - c'mon, this is THE keyword to have, and a very logical name+ext combo.

Nice one.

I get traveli.info as $890 and itravel.info as $350, just goes to show how useless domain estimators are.

Lucky guy. If only I could fetch that kind of money for a single domain!

You're derailing this topic, but I'll just respond quickly.... here's some explanation: iTravel.info scores $1,000 and does not seem to get any traffic, traveli.info gets $890 because it's considered a typo of travel.info and seems to get some residual traffic, and has some alexa rank.

It's certainly not my intention to derail this thread and I apologise if anyone feels that way. It is just my opinion that automated domain estimators are a waste of time because there are far too many variables that can't be taken into account. For base values off LLL.com's they may have some use, but that is about it. Other than that I feel they are just a novelty and the rather spurious values thrown up should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Hopefully this will help boost the sales of .info domains more. I would of thought it would of went for more though.
