Transfer out from NetSol?!

I have a few domains at NetSol (courtesy of Snapnames). I'm starting to transfer them out well ahead of the renewal dates. I thought I'd just try one first as I understand it can be somewhat of a saga...

I've unlocked the domain and requested the auth code. At that point I got an on-screen message saying Netsol would "review this request" and get back to me in 3 days time. Is this for real?! I'm not asking them to review anything, I'd just like the auth code.

Do they really take 3 days to give out the auth codes? Can you phone them and speed this up? Anyone's experiences with this would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can speed it up if you call, they WILL try and convince you to stay and make you offers. My best excuse was to tell them the domain was sold and the buyer wants it at another registrar, and please just email the auth code immediately. Then stay on the phone with them until you actually get the email. Use their 800 number if possible to rack up the long distance fees for them : smile :

NetSol always does this. You can try calling like @usernamex said above however it doesn't always work (believe me I've tried lol.) It really depends on the person who answers. You could try calling a few times I suppose. But you are correct in getting those names out well before renewals.
