I'm looking for a bit of advice. I have been monitoring stats to my reseller site http://www.dandydomain.com every other day and to date this is what I am showing: (You'll notice my "Domains For Sale Link" is not working....I am working on it...but for some reason cannot get to index.php after changing nameserver info.)

This is the traffic results for the last two months. My question is each day (when report is run by day) shows multiple hits coming in from various links etc but I see hits that are coming in from URL's which I have not placed links at. For instance I am showing regular hits from a URL where my site shows up on very first page when a user clicks on Internet/Computer Services. I am # 6 down the list I think. At the very top it states "Ads By Google". Does the google search engine link your site to multiple partner sites automatically? I am just trying to determine how I managed to be placed on that site if I did not submit my site to them nor did I participate in a link exchange with the webmaster.
I have found many sites such as this that do not show up when I run a "linkpop" report at places such as "marketleap" yet I seem to be getting traffic from these sites I have never heard of. Any info from the more experienced webmaster would be useful.

Thanks

DD

Thanks Bill. Going to check it out now. Oh, and the reason for my posting the stats above is I had one other question. What is considered a "hit"? Is it counted as a hit when one user clicks on 5 pages on the site for example. Is that 5 hits? Not sure if this makes sense or not. ;)
