How did you find out about the sale? No-one I know can find out anything or any sales list etc....

My friends went to traffic, thats how I know . And they did not send any notification ..

The domain quality listed at these auctions has gone downhill as well.

The truth is there are much better venues to sell premium domains. At this point most people with premium domains know that.

The reseller market has indeed taken a dive:

• resellers are still reeling from the global crisis too
• a lot of money has been wasted/diverted in dubious TLDs, leaving domainers broke and there is less cash circulating
• inventory is poor because many are keeping their best domains in the vault as they are reluctant to liquidate them in auctions that predictably will have a weak showing
• some of the reserves are too high for domains that aren't outstanding

Doesn't get much search volume, in the U.S. < 10, 12 worldwide. ImportedRugs would be better. But $300, who knows.

This tells less about a reseller market and more about auction selection. First off you have a limited number of people in that room to sell to for a premium name.

If you have great names and want to test out the market, you can put them on NameJet, have the protection of a reserve, and a lot more eyeballs seeing it.

There just are not that many buyers, you could not even keep any domain bloggers in the room to watch the auction and blog it. If there were great names, online bidding and a lot more buyers they would be blogging it. Again IMO

True. This is why I don't go to auctions.

I didn't think too hard.. scanned the names.. saw the numbers.

I think it's because I've been buying rugs lately and they cost a freakin' fortune
