Well Rick does not allow every name with a reserve, he wants a lot of no reserve submissions that's why the quality not great.

From my own experiences that may not be typical is that the domain market has tanked in general. This is the worst year to date I have had in the last 7 years and the real decline started 4 years ago.

In terms of sales I am standing at one fifth of the sales I have had at this time in previous couple of years.

Prices have tumbled,drops must be at an all time high.

Yep, it will get better. Had a rough economy last few years, but things are looking up. It's been a buyer's market (still is) so take advantage of it.

Unfortunately it seems like the era of high priced domainer to domainer sales on the conferences has come to an end (that might even be true for high priced end-user sales too), but on the bright side there seems to be more development and or joint venture opportunities that domainers can take advantage of for their premium domains. IMO

That's a good point Old Timer that time has just past. Look did Rick auction one of his names at Traffic ? NO, Elliot Silver ? No, Adam Dicker ? No, Michael Berkens ? No. They know no one is going to pay their price and why auction at Traffic when you can use NameJet with a reserve ? Costs you nothing to get a free look at the value of the name in domainer to domainer market.

Wot do you still have the same quality that you had 7 years ago ? Sometimes people sell their great names and they are not replaced with equal quality. Over the years sales volume can only fade imo if that is true.

Not too far away from the old days as I have added a few. But,I have also culled a lot over the past year or two and not many have been re registered so perhaps a good move!
