I'm selling my long time personal site TortillaBoy.com and wonder if I'm getting a good price for it. Of course, I've never had it appraised so I thought I'd ask you guys. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated. I'll let you know what it's selling for after. :hehe:

Well ok, of course sedo will ot disclose anything about the buyer while the transaction is taking place so I can only guess at the motivation. There is one tortilla manufacturer who uses a little boy in a sombrero as a logo and that is one, albeit far fetched possibility. True, the words "tortilla" and "boy" are not normally associated together but it say it out loud..."TortillaBoy!" it rolls off the tongue well doesn't it? lol

Anyway, I received, and approved the request for domain transfer this morning so the Whois should be changing from me "Steve D in Pueblo Colorado" to someone else in the next day or so, right?

Well, all I gotta say is - unbelievable!

I can honestly tell you that I think that your PlanetBurrito.com is worth that, but not Tortillaboy. Go figure. I think PlanetBurrito.com could be a great site for recipes for all different kinds of burritos.

Given you have no Google PR and an alexa rank that is....

Actually, it does. It shows a PR3 in my Google toolbar. What source did you use?

Nevertheless, I agree with you overall. I don't see a high resell value, but the name does have good 'branding' potential. It sounds like a Mexican restaurant, or a tortilla producer.

If a buyer has offered $1100.... SELL SELL SELL. :)

I know.

And I don't believe you.
Many domainers are sceptical of sales that don't fit their reseller/ppc valuation model. The simple fact is that there is a whole world out there that buys names because they like them and can use them, not just because they can park them at some ppc service and make money.

$1,100 is a perfectly reasonable price for a retail sale of a name like that.
