Top header announcements

I closed the site's upper banner announcements; the banner boxes had an "x" button that said "close forever" or something to that effect. Are these announcements available to read elsewhere or will new boxes appear as new announcements are made?

We are upgrading our auction system. The live auction event scheduled for this week has been canceled.

Closing them vanishes them forever.

New announcement boxes will appear when we have new announcements.
