I recently purchased trusteloan.com from godaddy and someone in another forum said it was tm infringement.
I purchased domain as truste loan not trust eloan. Just beacause the domain contains eloan its an infringement? I'm new and do not completely understand this. Any and all input and thoughts would be appreciated. A hyphen in the name would stop the confusion but would also reduce value of domain.

Trusteloan is not a TM but eloan is a TM, it would depend if a panel considered a eloan to be a generic term.

E-Loan Trust was a TM but it was abbandond. I guess it comes down to how much money you have to spend on a lawyer if it came down to it.

It could come down to a play on words because it sounds like Trusty Loan, switching the y with an e lets the potential consumer know it is a online business or service. I like the name, but remember urdp panels are all over the map at times.

The person trashing your names could be the owner of Trusty Loan(s) which are listed at godaddy for 2,876.74$.

I think you maybe ok with trusteloan maybe get trusteloans as well. Lots of codes around.

I like the name its a good play on words brandable, but I'm no pro so look into it if you plan on developing.

If you had a business called Truste Loan, and you made a website for it, shouldn't be a problem.

If you just sit on the domain, then you risk losing it.

I bought it to sell. should i sell or should i develop and sell? I'm a plumber i develop plumbing and water damage restoration sites not loan sites. do you think i should throw it on the market to sell fast?

Sell.

Ask here for an appraisal. Personally, I don't think it has any value. But I could see how others might like it.

I did post it in the appraisal section and that's how this thread started. I think once someone see's the reply about it being a TM violation and i will be getting a c & d soon no one else wants to appraise it? If you could ask around and see what some people think it would be appreciated.

TRUSTe is a trademark as well. They don't do loans but if you put Truste with something else, some people might think it's something that company does as well.

"I purchased domain as truste loan"

How did you come up with that name? What does truste mean? When you Google that term, the company I mentioned dominates the whole (most) of the first page.

I would delete it.

It would only be an infringement on truste if it was in the same business as them. for example apple. If i open a apple store and sold anything but computers or things related to software ect.. i would not be infringing on apple.

Apple is an actual word. So I could see how that can be used for different things but...

How did you come up with that name (truste)? What does truste mean?
