Yeah, i bought those two on 2nd december and today. I was looking for some niche domains, found those, they looked good to me and said, why not

motel.tips have good value (few hundreds to low thousands for right end users)
bid.tips..I do not feel that much, there are too many alternatives, and it is too general

.TIPS is quite undervaluated TLD at the moment..more people should realize it is actually very good from SEO point of view, and well developed domain can become quite valuable.
