I've been reading up on hyphenated domains lately, but it only got me more and more confused.
Lets see what we have:
L-L.com (676)
L-LL.com (17576)
LL-L.com (17576)
L-L-L.com (17576)
L-LLL.com (456976)
LL-LL.com (456976)
LLL-L.com (456976)
L-L-LL.com (456976)
L-LL-L.com (456976)
LL-L-L.com (456976)
L-L-L-L.com (456976)
Ofcourse there's also:
L-LLLL.com (11881376)
LL-LLL.com (11881376)
LLL-LL.com (11881376)
LLLL-L.com (11881376)
L-L-LLL.com (11881376)
L-LL-LL.com (11881376)
L-LLL-L.com (11881376)
LL-L-LL.com (11881376)
LL-LL-L.com (11881376)
LLL-L-L.com (11881376)
LL-L-L-L.com (11881376)
L-LL-L-L.com (11881376)
L-L-LL-L.com (11881376)
L-L-L-LL.com (11881376)
L-L-L-L-L.com (11881376)
181.472.200 possibilities all together. Its kind of depressing.
Apparently search engines do not care which one is searched for, the word is just stuck together. This raises a few questions:
What about SERP?
Is there a difference between search and spider interpretation?
What about L-L-L over L-LL or LL-L?
What about L-L-L-L-L over L-LLLL or LL-LLL or LLL-LL or LLLL-L?
If the word is stuck together anyway, why not a few hyphens less?
There seems to be a misinterpretation of logic going on, or is it just me?
