I have been contacted by a prospective buyer for this domain. I am inclined to sell it, but for the right price.

Please help in putting a retail sales price on it.

Thanks.

Misspell. Google: about 24,100 results
Have you really been "contacted by a prospective buyer for this domain" ... or were you simply copying (and pasting) OutlawBiker's recent ".INFO" Appraisals requests? Thanks.
Selected $11-$50, IMHO.
Best of Luck.

Edit: Revised number due to potential UK spelling, too ... after checking some of the Google results.

Defence and Defense are both correctly spelled versions of that word depending on which side of the Pond you are asking from.

Google returns 13,200,000 matches for "Defense" and 4,950,000 results for "Defence," so Defense is slightly more than twice commonly searched than Defence. It is certainly not a mere insignificant typo. It is the "right" way of spelling it in a significant number of regions in the world, including Canada, UK, and others.

Considering that I have been fortunate to have an extensive exposure to both the British English and the American English, I often register names using both the flavors(flavours) of a word.

$0.00 - < Reg. fee, IMHO.
Best of Luck.

CH, I find this question rather odd and out of line... I woudn't have been so surprised had this been a post from a real newbie, but seeing this remark came from you, I am shocked, CH! This remark is neither cool, polite, nor professional!

It's not nice to question someone's integrity like that. No reason to rush to any such conclusions.

BTW, I have a portal running at this domain, just got Adsense running there now, and am working on building traffic while actively marketing this name/site to potential buyers.

CH, I own well over 1100 domains, nearly 100+ being generic one or two word .Info names. I was initially planning on asking for a feedback for a different .Info domain, but then changed my mind and asked for an appraisal for this one. While in the process, I forgot to change the title which was fitting for a premium one word .Info domain. I hope this helps you see it from the true perspective.

Please note that I added (regarding the UK potential) to my Appraisal BEFORE your post, SlashRoot.Com. Also, I wasn't "accusing" you of anything or questioning anyone's integrity with my query. I simply noted the similarity between the .INFO posts.

Got two price requests for this one, and am inclined to sell it. As before, I'm asking your help in putting a sales price on it. I expect to complete a sale within 24 hours.

Some info:

Leads OV searches 18,099 Top bid $7 per click

Sub-domain possibilities:

Mortgage.Leads OV searches 23,535 Top bid $26.50 per click
Insurance.Leads OV searches 15,035 Top bid $6.97 per click

About 24,400 Google search results for "Defence Lawyers". I was NOT searching for either "Defence" or "Defense", solely. That would be like comparing apples to oranges, as I view it.
I did not jump to ANY conclusions, I simply asked a couple of questions ... you are the one who took my words the wrong way here.
Stay cool now, and I do apologize for the confusion. :)

I cited search results for the two versions of this word (Defense, and Defence) just to show that it is not just a off-beat typo. I am just amazed how easily people dismiss such things as typos. Afterall, US and UK are two countries only devided by a common language!

The issue of mis-spelling involved just this one word, not the second (Lawyers) word, and hence the numbers I cited were for the word in question.

As far as any similarity between my wordings or my way of doing stuff and OutLawBiker's style goes, you will find more than quite a few. I too drive on the left (some may say wrong?) side of the road while in that part of the world, and enjoy cricket, and motorcycles passionately as well. It's not good to rush to such judgement, CH.

'nuff said, I guess. Let's move on...

I simply noted the similarities, Slash ... that is ALL, and again ... I have never rushed to any such judgement. Think about how many times I have done what you're stating in my 5500+ posts, a HUGE percentage of those being Appraisals. If it was perceived that way in your view, again I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience in this regard. Truly.
Have a great domain night. :)

Thanks everyone for your input.

FYI, I have already told the prospect I am still gauging the true market value of this name, so I am accepting offers but not in a position to name a price. I have asked him to make an offer. I am expecting a call back tomorrow.

If the price is in the range of I have in mind(roughly equal to what a defence attorney may charge for ONE SINGLE/typical civil trial defense case), we will sell it. If not, we will continue to add content to the portal, build traffic, continue to generate Adsense revenue and keep up with our direct marketing efforts.

Again, thanks for your input. Apppreciated.

I will keep you posted.
