When Meta, Inc., rolled out its Threads social medium it utilized an incredibly strong asset: Its Instagram user base.
Two billion strong and counting, the integration of Instagram into the Threads sign-up process was simply brilliant: No need to create a new username and password, no need to search for those you followed on Instagram and re-add them; all was provided, with the option to not do so and start from scratch.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Suddenly, hearing they've already signed up so many users seems much less impressive. Did the Instagram users even choose to sign up? or was an account auto created for them? Is that genius or is it just another form of the shill?

Yes, joining Threads is completely optional and requires downloading the app. The ease of signing up without having to invent a new account is brilliant.

Interestingly I tried to find threads website but nothing. Went on threads com domain and found another company.

After installing the app I saw a domain threads.net near the username on the app. Zuck is advertising dotnet domain through his app.

The big Zuck mistake is using Instagram as a login for threads. The app looks cheesy.
