Thoughts on new features requested

Hey,

I need some feedback on soem new features going to be added to MyImgs.com. I'd like just basic feelings towards the usefullness of the features. Thanks.

Features:
1. Batch upload (upload a .zip or .tar with images in it, and unpacks it for you)

2. Image Rating (new site - would be like hotornot.com with categories for any image uploaded at myimgs.com. User selects the images to be rated)

3. PM System (like vbulletin)

4. Member / Image search (Search through list of member names, or do a search like google, except only through our images)

5. Slide Shows

6. Free PHP Chat (place for members to chat etc)

7. Live Supoprt chat (like phpLive! or somethign similar)

8. Gift packs (be able to upgrade another member's account)

9. Referals (refer someone to sign up for a paid account and get 50% commision)


A little info about the site:
MyImgs.com is a leading image hosting company that offers plans ranging from free 1MB space to paid 100MB space. We have over 36,000 members and over 100,000 images hosted.

Could you possible explain more about the 'Slide Shows'?

I really like the Batch Upload idea, but it would have to have a size limit on it, or a script that could search the files first and make sure there of a suitable format.. i.e. jpg, gif etc.

The slide shows would bassically be a page someone links to or code implimented into a page that would have next and back buttons that cycle through selected images.

Batch uploads would be checked for .jpeg, .jpg, .gif, or .png files. They would be scanned before actually implimenting the images into the DB.

The batch, search and ratings are the ones i suggest to get going first as they are the more useful ones.
